Save time and let us plan an effective and memorable event for your group.
We offer guided whale watching trips in both Tofino and Ucluelet. Join us on a whalewatching tour in style on one of the west coast's large, luxury whale-watch vessels, the 65 foot 'Leviathan II' in Tofino or the 65 foot 'Lady Selkirk' in Ucluelet, BC. Whale watching is an adventure the whole family can enjoy!
We offer guaranteed sightings throughout our season. Most often viewed are the Pacific Gray Whale. The migration starts to show up along the coast of Vancouver Island in early February and continues through late April. From April on through November, we have our 'Resident' Gray whales feeding in Clayoquot Sound and Barkley Sound. Humpback whales are also seen throughout our season, with the heaviest sightings in February, June, July, August and September. We see Orca whales (Killer whales) as well! There are 12 pods of 'Transient' Orcas that we see about once every two to three weeks throughout the year.
Kick into "Cruise Control" with Tofino's largest and most comfortable whale watching vessel. For those wanting to watch whales in their natural environment from the protection of our luxury 65ft vessel, the 'Leviathan II' is the ship for you. Our 65 foot Transport Canada certified vessel cruises into the pristine waters of Clayoquot Sound out of Tofino and provides comfort for the whole family. The vessel is equipped with inside heating seating, outside covered seating, and outside open seating to ensure comfort and enjoyment for all guests. The vessel also offers a snack and liquor bar and washrooms. Enjoy complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, or tea and full commentary on your whalewatching tour!
Enjoy the pristine waters of Barkley Sound on Ucluelet's largest and most comfortable whale watching vessel. The 'Lady Selkirk' is our 65 foot Transport Canada certified vessel that cruises out of Ucluelet and provides comfort for the whole family. It contains a snack and liquor bar, washrooms, inside heated seating, and outside seating on several deck levels. Your whale watching tour will also include complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, or tea and full commentary.
These whalewatching cruise tours are conducted in sheltered inlets as well as open ocean. If you are prone to sea sickness, please use your favourite motion sickness medicine beforehand or ask for a set of 'Sea Bands' which work well. As well, please be advised that it is often quite a bit colder on the water than on land.
