Victoria Winter Wildlife Eco Tour by Zodiac

Immerse yourself in the pristine scenery and coastal wildlife of British Columbia. All tours are guided by a certified naturalist. Enjoy the wind whipping your hair back, the solitude of being the only boat for miles & the promise of hot chocolate upon your return.

If there are reports of whales in the area, your driver will take the extra time to investigate. This means you’re getting the best value for your trip – you’re paying less in case there are not any whales to be seen, but if there are we will visit them at no extra cost. We start to miss them a little in the winter time and would not be able to keep our skippers away if we tried. Whales, although frequently viewed, are not guaranteed on our winter wildlife tours. There is still an abundance of wildlife to see in the winter months though!

Be Whale Wise ... Responsible Whale & Wildlife Protocol

We want the whales and responsible whale watching to survive. That means taking care in how we work around the animals. We participate in the revision of whale watching guidelines used throughout the industry. We meet with government officials and whale scientists to discuss the social and biological impacts of eco-tourism activities. We attend scientific symposia to learn the latest biological and ecological findings, and we have offered the use of our vessels to scientists to use as “platforms of opportunity” to observe the whales in their natural habitats. We believe that it is important to reduce the environmental impacts on the whales through science, education and action.
