Cruise on board the Ocean Magic departing from Vancouver's Coal Harbour in the morning. Enjoy an exciting whale watching and marine wildlife adventure tour on route to Victoria with commentary by certified naturalists. The Ocean Magic has two washrooms on board, a heated forward cabin, mid-ship indoor/outdoor area, and two outside viewing decks. Includes: 4 Hour Morning Whale Watching Tour on route to Victoria / Free Time in Victoria / Express Coach and admission to Butchart Gardens / Free Time to explore at Butchart Gardens / 2 Hour Sunset Cruise in the Gulf Islands.
Once we arrive on Vancouver Island you will have free time to explore lovely downtown Victoria. Once you have seen the sights we will transport you with a fully narrated scenic drive through the city of Victoria and surrounding countryside en route to Butchart Gardens, (admission included) here you will have free time at Butchart Gardens to enjoy a lovely walk. An optional English High Tea is served in the Butchart mansion formal dining room. As your day comes to an end return to Vancouver aboard the Ocean Magic traveling from the secluded cove at Butchart Gardens. We will cruise for 2 hours through the beautiful scenic Gulf Islands National Park. Often we will view amazing sunsets in this seldom seen area of the Gulf of Georgia Basin.

Vancouver to Victoria Whales and Seaplane Tour
Cruise on board the Ocean Magic departing from Vancouver's Coal Harbour in the morning. Enjoy an exciting whale watching and marine wildlife adventure tour on route to Victoria with commentary by certified naturalists. Once in Victoria you'll have free time to explore the lovely provincial capital at your own pace, taking in the attractions such as the Undersea Gardens, Royal BC Museum, Maritime Museum, and more. They're all within easy walking distance of the Inner Harbour.
To finish off your day, instead of returning to Vancouver by boat, you'll be whisked back via an exciting 35 minute float plane ride over the beautiful Gulf Islands. This archipelago is often referred to as "The Mediterranean of the Pacific". Want to stay overnight in Victoria and come back to Vancouver the next day? Your next day flight can be pre-booked at time of reservation at no additional expense.

Whale Watching Tour from Steveston, Vancouver
Join our professional naturalists for a 3 to 5 hour whale watching tour, starting in the picturesque West Coast fishing village of historic Steveston, traveling through the spectacular Gulf and San Juan Islands. Our extensive whale spotting network has given us a 90% sighting success rate. While we journey to find the Orcas (Killer Whales), you’ll have the opportunity to see a diverse marine ecosystem, including bow riding Dall’s porpoises, sea lions, bald eagles, and seals.
Steveston is a lovely historic fishing village just 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver. Each trip starts in this prime marine environment, allowing for immediate access to diverse wild life. Before or after the tour guests can enjoy the museums, shops, scenic areas, fish and chips or an ice cream. Full-day free parking is available.

Be Whale Wise ... Responsible Whale and Wildlife Protocol
We want the whales and responsible whale watching to survive. That means taking care in how we work around the animals. We participate in the revision of whale watching guidelines used throughout the industry. We meet with government officials and whale scientists to discuss the social and biological impacts of eco-tourism activities. We attend scientific symposia to learn the latest biological and ecological findings, and we have offered the use of our vessels to scientists to use as “platforms of opportunity” to observe the whales in their natural habitats. We believe that it is important to reduce the environmental impacts on the whales through science, education and action.
