Experience the exhilaration of rockclimbing in the Rocky Mountains near Banff, Alberta. The Canadian Rockies surrounding Banff, Canmore and Lake Louise are a rock climber's paradise with climbs and rock faces suitable for every level of climber. Rock climbing is an unbelievably exhilarating sport suitable for beginners, visitors, locals, families, individuals & groups.
Drawing from a pool of the best guides in the region we provide you with the highest quality mountain experiences. Our guides are enthusiastic and extremely talented and hold climbing certification from the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides and from other International Federation of Mountain Guide Association (IFMGA) countries. Your safety and enjoyment are paramount to them.
Locations:
There are several great and scenic rock climbing instruction areas near Banff that can be readily accessed for daily lessons, they include: Banff Rundle Rock, Zygote Crag, Yamnuska Bluffs, Wasootch Creek, and Lake Louise.
Rock Climbing Season:
Rock climbing is typically available from May until mid-October. Optimum season is mid-May to late September.
Instructors & Instruction Ratios:
Instructors are certified guides licensed to operate in the National and Provincial Parks. They are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides. The maximum instructor to client ratio for instruction is 1:6
Banff Rock Climbing - BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE
Day or half-day rock lessons are available for individuals or groups and are offered in the Banff and Canmore areas. Lake Louise is also available for full day lessons. Lessons cater to all abilities, beginner to advanced, making them a perfect fit for individuals, families or groups.
