Whistler BC Getaway Dogsled Tour - BEGINNER / MODERATE
Cruise through the beautiful Callaghan Valley, around narrow winding trails of old growth forest graced with cedar giants that are hundreds of years old. Pass white capping rivers that lead you to our adventure igloo. Here you'll strap on snowshoes and in minutes of trekking you will be at one of BC's top ten highest waterfalls, the spectacular 140ft Alexander Falls. Cozy back into the sled and then hang on as your team of sled dogs does what they love to do best, RUN! These dogs, a composite pack of tough Alaskans and strong pointer racing dogs, were bred for their inherent desire to run with endurance strength and speed!
You'll feel the dog's joy and anticipation as you watch to see what is around that next corner. The getaway continues down hill on an exhilarating scenic snow roller coaster adventure. Our skilled mushers stand behind you at the rear working with the team to control the high downhill speed of these big 6 to 8 dog teams and steering through the tight magical forest. Tucked comfortably into your enclosed bed toboggan, you are chasing a piece of Canadian history.
At the end of the tour stop back at the eco-base camp for a warming drink or try your hand at driving your own team. With no experience necessary - just the motivation for thrill, teamwork, adventure and a little cozying up, you are living stories worth telling.
